So its been a spell since I last posted something. Things haven’t been too interesting enough for me to blog about. I got a staph infection…twice in a matter of weeks so I was on antibiotics for 10 days each in just the past month. September/October was NOT good to me. I just recently finished the last dosage of the medication and I HOPE I don’t have to deal with another reason to be back on medication. Just these past few months I have been on antibiotics a total of four times! Twice for the spider bite that wouldn’t heal and now another two times for the staph infection in my left underarm. Both infections were on my left side of my body and overall and I tired of having to take this much medication. I have never been this ‘sick’ before, seriously. If my memory serves me correctly the last time I was on medication was back in 2007. I am not the type to get sick and being sick with a spider bite and a staph infection aren’t the things you want to have to go through. As it is a have a nice lil ‘hole’ in my upper left thigh which I will be self-conscious about for a long time. Well I guess I should stop ranting now. Meh.
The GREAT thing I was able to do was go visit my college roommate Dee in Texas this past week. I hadn’t seen her and her son since he was a new-born and that was back in 2006? Well he is three years old now so it had to be back in 2006. Wow how times flies. Thomas is such a cutie and hanging out with Dee is always fun. I stayed with Dee on base (Goodfellow Airforce Base) from Monday night to Friday morning. Its been a while since I have been on a Base and every time I do I wonder how it must have been for my father growing up on similar Armed Forces Bases as a child. Military Bases are really a world unto themselves and feel like a void of life (at least for me). I am used to living in highly populated areas and in most cases, noisy places, so being on Base was eery and way too quiet for my tastes. I had a great time with Dee just chilling and hanging out. There wasn’t that much to catch up on since we keep in contact and text or tweet on a daily basis at the very least. Below are some pictures of us.

I am soooo glad I was able to hang out with Dee and Thomas before they head to South Korea to be with Joey (Dee’s husband). I am crossing my fingers so that they are able to leave ASAP. If not I hope I get to hang out with them again in Puerto Rico for Christmas.
